Striking Ondo state workers block state governor from entering government house
Striking Ondo state workers today blocked the state governor, Olusegun Mimiko from entering the state government house. The workers who are protesting 5 months unpaid salaries, filed in front of the main gate of the government house, chanting songs of solidarity. Governor Mimiko had to come down from his car to appeal to the workers to suspend their strike.
According to the governor, the state is not financially buoyant to pay up arrears. The workers vowed to continue their strike until their salaries are paid.
